Lance was nominated for his years of giving back to the community through his work with the Variety Club of Southern Nevada — A Children’s Charity along with his performances for The Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in LA. Lance also hosts an annual fundraiser performance for the Zelzah Shrine Temple. This year’s event, “Lance Burton & Friends” at the Monte Carlo Resort will be on Sunday, August 22nd at 4:00pm. Tickets for this performance can be purchased at the Zelzah Shrine Temple, located at 2222 W. Mesquite or by calling (702) 382-5554. |

Master Magician Lance Burton was honored with the “Nevada Outstanding Citizen” award presented by the Free and Accepted Masons. Grand Master Carl L. “Bud” Banks presented the award at an outdoor ceremony next to The Miracle League’s new sports facility across from the Masonic Memorial Temple.
Lance Burton has adopted a mixed-breed dog which he calls a snoodle. Lance jokingly said, "It's half Schnauzer and half Poodle." The young dog, Rocky, is still in his training stages. Lance is a big fan of Cesar Millan aka "The Dog Whisperer." Lance has read Cesar's book to Rocky; they also enjoy watching Cesar's television program together.
For the ninth year in a row Lance Burton hosted the Sunshine Foundation's children. The kids came in from all over America. The Sunshine Foundation children suffer from an array of illnesses. Lance and his dancers greeted the children after the sold-out show Wednesday night, where they each received autographed souvenir programs.
Master Magician Lance Burton along with cast and crew presents a 150 pound cake to his Production Stage Manager Allen Bracken for his 49th birthday. Freed's Bakery proves to be up to the task when asked to perform the Herculean 'Baking Job'. It all happens on an upcoming episode of TLC's newest series "Fabulous Cakes" which will air on The Learning Channel sometime in June. This one-hour show will have three segments; it is a spin-off of "Cake Boss".

George Wallace and Lance Burton enjoy a laugh while performing before a full house at the Funny Bone fundraiser to help animal rescue organizations. It was a full house at the Key West Showroom in The Palms. A special thanks went out to the Maloof family for donating the showroom on Sunday. Other entertainers were Bobby Slayton, Sammy Shore, Louie Anderson, Pam Matteson, Rich Little, Vinnie Favorito, Kathleen Dunbar, Kathy Walker, Pete Barbutti, Rick Faugno, Manny Oliveira, Frankie Scinta and Jeff Hobson.
