The symbolic act of a parade and keg tapping by a VIP usually the mayor in Germany's towns to kick off Octoberfest is a little bit different in Las Vegas.. In this case, Master Magician Lance Burton tapped the keg at the Hofbrauhaus in Las Vegas.
$HOWTIME FOR MDA - Lance Burton took up a collection this past week with his audiences who donated on their way out of the theater doors at the Monte Carlo. The audience members generously donated over $2,500. He speaks with ABC affiliate Channel 13 anchors Nina Radetich and Brian Schofield along with Murray a comedy magician. Lance Burton told the newscasters how the illness has struck extended members of his family. Jerry Lewis and crews from Action News included Steve Wolford, Nina Radetich, Bryan Scofield, Casey Smith & Lisa Remillard joined the fight against muscular dystrophy. Jerry broadcast from South Point and the Action News team who took part in Las Vegas fundraising efforts at the Las Vegas Hilton helped raise nearly $1 million. Lance would like every Strip show to participate next year.
The Monte Carlo Resort & Casino headliner Lance Burton performed some of his world-renowned magic for the residents of New Vista Community on Sunday night. Comedy magician Fielding West joined him.
MAGICAL EVENING - All 51 reigning Miss USA contestants along with the reigning Miss USA who was sawed in half (only temporarily) in a magic trick on stage before the entire full house at The Lance Burton Theatre in The Monte Carlo Resort & Casino. Lance Burton personally met each of the lovely ladies after the show. They filmed the part where The live telecast will air on April 19th on NBC. A former Miss Texas Crystle Stewart is the current Miss USA.
FUN NIGHT ON THE TOWN - The Sunshine Foundation was treated to "Lance Burton: Master Magician" for the 8th year in a row on Tuesday night. The original wish granting foundation is spending the entire week in Las Vegas for a fun time for the Sunshine children and their nurses and caretakers. The Sunshine Foundation's sole purpose is to answer the dreams of chronically ill, seriously ill, physically challenged and abused children ages three to eighteen, whose families cannot fulfill their requests due to the financial strain that the child's illness may cause. Lance Burton poses with his magician assistants and the kids.
